Edmund Halleywas born on November 8th 1656 in Haggerston, London. He found a comet that he successfully computed would arrive around Earth every which he later named Haley’s Comet, after himself.
As he was gazing at the moon he debated about Kepler’s law of planetary motion with Sir Isaac Newton. Together, they created a formula to calculate gravity. He also created several diving bells which allowed humans to explore deep under the water. I think his greatest achievement was probably the formula he created for gravity.
what do you think his greatest achievement was?
